What this service holds about you, why it holds it, and what you can ask us to do with it.

Who we are

This verification service is operated by the Institute for National Transformation, for the purpose of confirming the graduate status of its alumni. Questions about this policy can be raised through the support chat on this site.

What we hold

Our alumni records were compiled from official cohort records and contain:

  • Your name as recorded at enrolment
  • The email addresses you gave us, personal and institutional
  • A telephone number, where one was provided
  • Your cohort number and the dates you attended
  • Your graduation status and any outstanding requirements

When you use this site we additionally record the verification codes we issue you, the IP address a request came from, and the contents of any support conversation you start.

Why we hold it

To confirm your status. Your email address is used to locate your record. We send a one time code to that address to confirm the request is genuinely yours.

To protect the records. IP addresses and request counts are used to rate limit the service and detect attempts to probe or scrape it. Without this, anyone could test addresses against our records.

To answer you. Support messages are kept so a conversation can be picked up later, including by email when nobody is online at the time.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell or rent your information to anyone.
  • We do not share your record with other alumni or third parties.
  • We do not use your address for marketing.
  • We do not place advertising or tracking cookies on this site.

Cookies and local storage

This site sets one session cookie after you verify, so your result stays visible while you read it. It expires after two hours and is removed when you close your browser.

Your browser also stores your theme preference and, if you use support chat, a random conversation token and a copy of the transcript so you can return to it. These stay on your device and are never sent anywhere else.

How long we keep things

Alumni records are retained permanently, since they are the institute's academic archive. Verification codes are discarded shortly after they expire. Support conversations are kept while a matter is open and for a reasonable period afterward.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • Tell you exactly what we hold about you
  • Correct anything wrong, including a name spelling or an outdated address
  • Explain how a graduation status was decided
  • Delete a support conversation

We cannot delete an academic record itself, as the institute is obliged to maintain a reliable graduation archive.

Security

Access to your record requires a code sent to the address already on file, so knowing someone's email is not enough to open their record. Codes are stored hashed, expire quickly, and can be used once. Administrative access is restricted to registry staff, protected by individual accounts, and every change to a record is logged with the account that made it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after that date means you accept the revised policy.
